Videoflot received a 30 million CZK investment from Y Soft Venture Capital and is planning to expand in America, 6/5/2014
Brno’s spin-off, Videoflot, first came to public attention with the viral video "Rider on the Highway", released soon after their formation, in the spin-off accelerator, Starcube, in 2012. This was only the start of their success. They then won third place in the Vodafone competition – The Idea of the Year 2012 – which guaranteed them participation in the prestigious biannual spin-off accelerator in Chile, South America. In 2013, Videoflot built up a stable platform of customers. An investment of 30 million CZK from Y Soft Venture Capital, which systematically supports promising spin-offs, will help Videoflot to open up to new opportunities in other markets around the world.

Small and medium-sized businesses

Monitor the print environment and significantly reduce costs

Segment specifics

Small and mid-sized businesses are fundamentally different from large corporations. Most of these businesses have a single location and fewer than 100 employees. In many cases, both local printers and multifunction printers are used, but without central administration, access controls, or reporting. Print costs represent a major expense.

Client needs

Small and mid-sized businesses want to gain greater control with a simple, budget-friendly solution that will help them manage user access and reduce printing costs. Since many smaller businesses do not have IT or print network specialists, the solution must be simple to install and manage. In addition, reports are critical to help the company understand and control print-related costs.

Print environment prior to YSoft SafeQ

Small and mid-size businesses use both local printers on employees’ desks and large multifunction printers. Usually, there is little or no way to control access to MFPs, the type and size of print jobs, or to identify non-business related usage. Printing costs are disproportionately high for the size of the company.

YSoft SafeQ as a customized solution

The new YSoft SafeQ license model enables small and medium-sized businesses to build a customized license. The customer can choose only the functionalities he really needs by, for example, combining the option to authorize users with features like Rule-Based Printing and Monitoring and Reporting.

In such a case, each user is then identified and authenticated using ID cards and PINs. Standard reports provide an overview of print-related costs and statistics on MFP usage. In addition, a variety of report formats are available, so the administrator can get information in the most useful report format. YSoft SafeQ makes printing far more efficient and convenient with features like Print Roaming that allows the user to pick up a document at the printer of their choice.

Businesses that implement YSoft SafeQ can expect a quick return on investment. Not only does printing become more efficient due to greater administrative control, but users also become more responsible in their printing habits over time, reducing the total amount of printing.
