Our Structure

Research and Development

The Y Soft Research and Development division develops and supports Y Soft software and hardware, and performs product research. Y Soft R&D is based on three principles: Business, Challenge and Technology.

Challenges are the motivating factor in software/hardware development. Every Y Soft developer works with tools based on state-of-the-art Technology. And for Y Soft R&D, Business means always focussing on the needs of our partners and their clients.

The Y Soft R&D division uses time-tested procedures for project management, processes, and software engineering, such as agile development methods, lean software development and continuous integration.
Quality management is one of the main Y Soft R&D pillars and is handled by a  separate Quality Management department. In addition to testing all Y Soft products, the QM department defines testing methods and quality management procedures for our processes, such as localization, acceptance testing of products at clients’ premises, and pre-sale testing at partner companies.

As part of its development activities, the R&D division collaborates with top Czech academic institutions to perform basic and applied research. Currently, Y Soft R&D is collaborating with Masaryk University, Faculty of Informatics, and with the Laboratory of Applied Security and Cryptography. Y Soft is also a member of the Industrial Partners Association and a partner of the faculty.

Technical Support

Technical Support is an important department at Y Soft, and provides the following services related to Y Soft SafeQ®:

•    Pre-sale and post-sale support
•    Installation of SafeQ and related products (at the client’s location), as well as demo installations
•    Service support for partners (HelpDesk)
•    Service support for end clients (HelpDesk)
•    On-site service support
•    Partner and client education
•    Technical information
•    Printer and MFD (HCL) certification
•    Preparation of documents, manuals and instructions
•    Internal testing

Technical support is available by phone on business days from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Technical support covers the entire EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa), as well as North and South America, Asia, Japan and Australia. Technical support is divided into four levels, with L1 provided by our certified partners and L4, the highest, by the Y Soft R&D division.

Sales

The Y Soft mission is to give the best possible care to certified partners and their clients. In order to meet the needs of partners and clients to the maximum extent, the Sales division includes three separate groups: Account Management, Solution Consultants and Marketing.

Each member of the Account Management team is highly knowledgeable about Y Soft products, and also develops the skills required to provide effective support to our partners. A dedicated account manager serves as a perfect link between each partner project and Y Soft corporate resources.

Solution consultants concentrate on designing the architecture of the technological solution in the client environment to match specific requirements. Because Y Soft can customise SafeQ to meet unique client needs, solution consultants also actively engage in customisation and implementation studies that analyse client requirements, prepare assignments for the development department and calculate customisation costs.

Production

At Y Soft, the Production division’s objective is to maximise technological potential and minimise human resource demands in order to reduce the possibility of error.
Five employees work in Production, and their number can be increased depending on the number of terminals to be produced.
All production areas, including storage, are equipped with the latest technologies to ensure top product quality in an environmentally friendly way.

The Y Soft production line is equipped with the latest Samsung machines, a Heller remelting furnace and optic inspection by VI Technology. The line is fully automated and is controlled by a single operator. The automatic placing machine can place 18,500 components on a board each hour with an accuracy of 0.030 mm.
Printed circuit boards are soldered in the remelting furnace with 14 independently controllable heating zones and one cooling zone. The entire solder process is done in a nitrogen protected atmosphere with 99.999% cleanness, which ensures perfect solding without the use of dangerous metals such as lead.

Production meets all RoHS regulations and uses no substances harmful to the environment. The production line is capable of 24/7 operation with a capacity of up to 12,000 terminals per month. The line includes automated optic inspection with a speed of up to 100,000 components per hour. For each component, the quality of soldered joints, change of position and/or turning can be checked. Storage capacity is sufficient to store enough products to meet regular demand for up to one month.
