YSoft SafeQ Scan Workflow Connector Library Keeps Growing

Former Communications Director
One of the key phases in an automated scan workflow is the delivery of scans to a destination. While typical destinations can be a shared network folder or scan to email, YSoft SAFEQ automated scan workflows can securely deliver scans to 3rd party destinations.

Increasingly, organizations are turning away from scan to email for a variety of reasons (read our AIIM.org contributed blog post on the topic) and are using cloud repositories or on-premise line of business applications instead as destinations for digital files. A third category of digital files are electronic content systems (ECS) or document management systems (DCS).

The most productive way to get scans made on a multifunction device or networked scanner to these destinations is to have the scan automatically delivered to these destinations in the right folders and documented that it was done by the user (and even automatically alert whomever is waiting for the document that it is now there). YSoft SAFEQ Managed Workflows do just that.

In order to do that, a predefined workflow is created that “connects” the scan created by YSoft SAFEQ to the third party destination. Y Soft develops its own connectors and today we announced a connector to support secure scan delivery for HPE Records Manager 8.x.

The YSoft SAFEQ Connector for HPE Records Manager is the first connector in a new category of connectors. While many connectors are complementary within YSoft SAFEQ, Category A, Category B and Special Category connectors are for purchase. Purchasing access to Category A, Category B or Special Category connectors gives organizations a choice to use multiple connectors to disparate 3rd party destination systems within the category. We are pleased to announce HPE Records Manager 8.x is the first Category B connector.

A full list of connectors can be found in our growing Core Workflows Connector Library. Our development teams are also interested in feedback from IT organizations about other 3rd party systems where connectors are needed so a feedback form is included on the Connector Library webpage.
