How to Fix 'Printing' Status with No Output on Server
Issue:
Once your device has been configured according to the documentation, you can submit a print job to EveryonePrint. In the "Print Job Monitor" list, the document stays in the "Printing" status, and no output occurs on the physical device.
Troubleshooting:
- Open Windows Event Viewer and go to Windows Logs -> Application.
- You may see a red error whose text says :
"Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files (x86)\EveryonePrint\lib\cpp\cpp.exe". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC90.CRT,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="9.0.21022.8" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis."
Resolution:
- You need to install "Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86" (vcredist_x86.exe); see this article Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package MFC Security Update.
- After the installation, restart the EveryonePrint Web service.
