How do you create a test in AIVA?

You start a recording at a URL, perform the user flow in your browser the way a normal user would, add assertions to verify the expected results, and save. AIVA captures clicks, typing, and navigation as steps — automatically detecting any scrolling needed along the way, and setting the right patience for each action based on how you or the app performed it. There's no scripting, configuration, or coding involved.

Does AIVA use artificial intelligence (AI)?

AIVA uses visual and semantic recognition to understand pages, but it's deliberately not built on top of unpredictable LLM agents that "decide" what to do at run time. The goal is predictable, fast, and repeatable execution, closer to a deterministic regression test than to an autonomous AI agent.

Is AIVA a record-and-playback tool?

Yes, you record once by manually performing a flow, and AIVA plays it back. Unlike traditional record-and-playback tools, AIVA doesn't bind itself to selectors or DOM paths captured at recording time, or to screen coordinates. It interprets the page visually on every run, which makes its recordings far more durable than traditional ones.

What kinds of applications can AIVA test?

AIVA tests web applications running in a Chromium-based browser; public sites, internal web apps, dashboards, and SaaS products. It's particularly strong for functional and end-to-end testing from a user's perspective, including signup, checkout, login, and other user flows.

Can AIVA test mobile or native applications?

No. For now, AIVA is focused on web applications opened in a desktop Chromium browser. Native mobile apps, desktop apps, other browsers, and other non-web interfaces aren't supported yet.
