Y Soft meets Czech Prime Minister, Honorary Consul, Ambassador, and CzechInvest in Texas

Former Communications Director
Representatives of the Czech-based company Y Soft Corporation met with Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka and other dignitaries during the prime minister’s recent visit to the US.

The Czech officials’ itinerary included meetings with US Vice-President Joe Biden at the White House, attendance at the unveiling of a bust of Havel at the US Congress, a meeting with (former) Texas Governor Rick Perry, and much more.

A highlight of the trip was a dinner at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas, attended by residents of the local Czech community. This museum examines the life, times, death, and legacy of President John F. Kennedy. Y Soft Corporation was invited as the only company representing both the Czech Republic and Texas.

Y Soft attended the dinner at the invitation of investment and business development agency CzechInvest, which last year awarded the company Investor of the Year 2013.

While in Texas, Prime Minister Sobotka and Czech Ambassador Petr Gandalovic met with Y Soft Sales Operations Manager Tomas Vasicek for discussions about Y Soft’s operations in Texas and the Czech Republic. The focus of the meeting was primarily the Y Soft vision, which Tomas Vasicek introduced:

“Y Soft wants to become a role model for entrepreneurs in the Czech Republic, so that others are encouraged to build Czech-based global companies. Y Soft continues to operate as if there were no borders – spreading the same company culture to all its subsidiaries worldwide.” The Prime Minister expressed his interest in the Y Soft vision, and was invited by Tomas Vasicek to visit Y Soft headquarters in Brno so he can learn more about how he can support Y Soft’s vision and values.

A second meeting was held with the new Czech Honorary Consul, Brian Vanicek, who said he was very pleased that Y Soft chose Texas as the key location for their North and Latin America operations. He also recognized Y Soft’s support of Czech and Texas relations, and expressed his appreciation for the donations by Y Soft and its employees to victims of the recent tragedy in the town of West, Texas.

Roman Horacek, Director of USA West Coast Operations for CzechInvest, has monitored how Y Soft has developed within the US region. Shortly before the November meeting with the Czech Prime Minister, Roman Horacek visited the Grapevine, Texas offices of Y Soft North America, where he met with the National Sales Manager for Y Soft North America, Mark Schneider, and Sales Operations Manager Tomas Vasicek.

Roman Horacek said he was pleased with how Y Soft North America has developed in Grapevine. The Grapevine office also serves as the key hub for Y Soft hardware distribution for both North and Latin America. He expressed his confidence about further Y Soft growth: “CzechInvest has cooperated with Y Soft for some time, but this was my first visit to the Y Soft North America office. This visit convinced me that Y Soft’s vision to develop a Czech global company is a reality, as evidenced by the key Y Soft values and culture I saw there.”

CzechInvest recently introduced Y Soft CEO Vaclav Muchna to David Miklas, CEO of be3D, at the residence of the honorary consul of the Czech Republic, Richard Pivnicka, in San Francisco. The event was also attended by the Czech Republic’s Ambassador to the United States, Petr Gandalovič, along with representatives of CzechInvest and the Czech Ministry of Finance. The result of this meeting was a considerable 65 million CZK investment in be3D by Y Soft.
