Scandal 2019 – Our Shamanic Journey of Enlightenment

Each year, YSofters gather in three regions to celebrate the past year and to plan for the upcoming year. It seemed only fitting that the theme of this year’s event was a Shamanic Journey of Enlightenment – representing our own transformation into a multiple product company and the plans we have that will transform us even further.
It all started in Japan as YSofters from APAC came together to earn the puzzle pieces needed to solve the secret shamanic code. In doing so, they raised money for their chosen charity, the Kobe Earthquake Foundation. Traditional Japanese activities such as a gala dinner in kimonos and ab onzen spa were also organized.

Next up was the North America and Latin America teams in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. These teams were also successful in earning puzzle pieces to raise money for their chosen charity, Earth Day Network, with plenty of time to enjoy the beach resort.

Last but not least – and by far the biggest Scandal event – the EMEA teams found themselves in the Iron Mountains in the heart of the Czech Republic. The EMEA team also raised money for their chosen charity, Krtek, which assists pediatric oncology patients and their families.

Between the three regions, more than $10,000 was raised for these three good causes. Thank you YSofters!

The EMEA Scandal is the largest with more than 250 attendees. Co-founders Vaclav Muchna and Martin de Martini, along with CMO Elke Heiss, amused us all with an opening skit and the theme was felt throughout the day in different sets of activities, the outdoor concert set on castle ruins complete with a setting sun, and good food/drink.

Watch the Scandal EMEA video and check out some of the photos from APAC and NALA Scandals.
