As the company’s anniversary approached, I spent some time reflecting on the many things we have achieved over the 15+ years. I was recently asked what I would do differently today in starting this business. “Probably everything” was my response. And it is true. But one thing that I wouldn’t change, and what I am most proud of, is our culture, described through corporate values.

It's summertime. And at Y Soft that means it's time to celebrate the company's birthday with three team building events held in Florida, Thailand and Valec, Czech Republic. Our theme this year was Asterix and Obelix.

Y Soft, as a main sponsor and partner for the JIC STARCUBE Accelerator awards, participated in the jury panel to select the top 3 startups. Y Soft also selected Tap4Parking to receive a special Y Soft monetary award.

Every year Y Soft celebrates its birthday with an internal event we call “Scandal”. It has become a tradition that activities at the event are organized in a way that does a good thing: earning money for charity. Together, we were able to donate $6,825 for charities in the three regions where Scandal was held. Y Soft CEO, Václav Muchna, said: "Our annual event gives us the opportunity to reinforce our team spirit. Once again I am proud of how the teams came together for good cause.“

Representatives of the Czech-based company Y Soft Corporation met with Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka and other dignitaries during the prime minister’s recent visit to the US.

be3D, a Czech manufacturer of 3D printers, received a strategic investment. Brno company, Y Soft, invested into the Prague start-up, they also acquired a 51% share of be3D. The connecting of be3D to Y Soft is the result of several months of negotiations, which took place in the United States of America, where be3D has been expanding in recent months thanks to CzechAccelerator. The amount of the investment has reached 45 million crowns with the promise of an additional 20 million crowns in the event of the expected growth of the company. David Miklas, the founder of the company, remains the head of be3D.
